It might sometimes feel like we don't get enough jokers (we hear this comment often from players, not only online, but also at in-person games).
This may often seem to be the case when playing against bots online. However, keep in mind that there are 3 bots and one of you at the table. So, the bots collectively should get 3 times more jokers than you, on average. Plus, if people were at the table instead of three bots, they would each get their share of jokers. Players also tend to focus only on the games where they received no jokers and completely forget about those games where they received 5 or more!
Statistically, if all tiles in the game were played, each player should expect to receive 2 jokers per game. However, with games finishing about 80% of the way through (on average), each player can expect to receive about 1.6 jokers per game. If a player kept a tally of jokers received over time, they would see that this is about right.
To avoid having to do this math manually, we added an average count of jokers received and swapped to each player's stats page. Please take a look and we're sure you'll discover that you are receiving somewhere around 1.6 jokers per game, on average. More information regarding the stats page can be found here.
